Mirrors

At B&M Glazing in Harrow, our range of mirrored glass includes 4mm and 6mm thick mirrors, with standard polished edges, or bevelled edges. These can be shaped to templates. Drilled for screw fixings, and foil backed for adhesive fixing. Mirrors can be produced complete with cut outs, for sockets or other fittings to pass through the mirror. Mirrors can also be safety film backed or hessian film backed, to comply with higher safety ratings if required. In addition to standard silvered mirrors, we can also provide tinted mirrors, which come in bronze, grey or blue tinted glass. These can be used to good effect, when trying to blend in with a colour scheme in the surrounding area. Antique mirrors can also be produced, which use oils during the silvering process, to give the appearance of aged or antique mirrors. All mirrors can also be produced with sandblasted borders, or sandblasted designs to customer’s artwork, or requirements.

Back painted glass

Back painted glass can be manufactured in all standard RAL colours. There is also a range of colours available in non-toughened glass, which due to being kept in stock, can be manufactured to size in quick turnaround time. In certain circumstances we are able to offer a colour match if a suitable sample is provided. Back painted glass can be produced in either float glass, which has a green tint, or low iron glass, which is visually clear, and gives a true colour of the paint behind. Both types of glass can be toughened, for use in areas such as kitchens or bathrooms, where a chance of impact or conditions could affect the glass.

UV bonded glass

UV bonding is commonly being used now, for joints that appear to be invisible. This method of bonding is most commonly used on furniture such as UV Bonded glass cubes, which objects can be stored in, or small tables, which can have metal legs UV bonded to glass tops, to give the appearance of the glass just sitting on the legs, but actually having a clear joint fixing them together.

Toughened glass table tops

Glass is being used more and more to create a protective, easy clean surface to customers’ existing tables. These can be from simple rectangular shapes, to shaped table tops, which have to have a template produced on site at the customer’s addresses. The glass is then produced to the template, returned to the customers address at an agreed appointment, and laid onto the existing table. This can then protect the table, which is underneath the glass. All glass table tops are produced in toughened safety glass, which means they are stronger than standard glass.

Glass shelves

A wide range of glass shelves, and glass shelf fittings is available from ourselves. These can be utilised in a number of areas, to create clear shelves, which are easy clean. All glass shelves are toughened safety glass, so can be used in areas such as bathrooms and kitchens.
